GOLDEN, Colo., May 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Golden Minerals Company ("Golden Minerals" or the "Company") (NYSE MKT: AUMN) (TSX: AUM) announced today that Warren Rehn has been promoted to President of Golden Minerals Company. Jeffrey G. Clevenger continues to serve as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Golden Minerals.
In his new role, Mr. Rehn will focus on developing new producing assets and continue to lead Golden Minerals' exploration efforts. Mr. Andrew Sharp, General Manager of Velardena, will continue to report to Mr. Clevenger.

Mr. Rehn has been with Golden Minerals since February 2012, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Exploration and Chief Geologist. He has more than 30 years of mineral exploration experience and has worked as an exploration geologist or in related roles for companies including Barrick Gold, Placer Dome, Bear Creek Mining, Cyprus Amax, Noranda and Gold Fields Mining. Mr. Rehn holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geological Engineering from the University of Idaho and a Master of Science in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines.
